North Croatia Team forms as a mixed team at Alpentour MTB stage race.
By riding, racing, and building a strong community, we promote the region through the sport we love highlighting its terrain, culture, and character, one ride at a time.
North Croatia Team began organically, like most good cycling stories do. In June 2024, a mixed team formed for Alpentour, with Denis and Kristina lining up not just to race, but to experience something bigger together.
What started as a shared race quickly became a shared idea: to build a team that blends racing ambition with openness, humor, and strong identity.
The team finished 3rd overall at Alpentour, marking an early highlight of the journey. Later that year, they also competed at the Wild Bear Stage Race and finished 1st overall. Fun fact: the team name was coined by Zlatko Lukacevic.
Our vision is to build a cycling team that values experience over ego and progress over perfection. We believe cycling is more than watts and rankings. It’s a way to explore landscapes, test limits, and grow together as riders and people.
North Croatia Team aims to be a platform where performance and local cycling culture coexist. A place where ambitious racers ride alongside weekend explorers, united by the same respect for effort and the trail.
Our mission is to make cycling more accessible & visible beyond competition alone. We focus on lowering barriers to entry, welcoming cyclists at every level, and strengthening the regional cycling scene through local events and rides.
By organizing races and shared experiences, and supporting them with digital tools and Strava-powered leagues, we promote both the sport and the region it belongs to.
